Set in the Lobby area of the hotel, with great views of the verandah, pool area and our surrounding Coral Reef, this comfortable, casual and open air restaurant offers wonderful dining options throughout the day. Leading to an expansive verandah providing additional shaded and unshaded tables, this is a special al fresco dining experience at its most tropical. Our Breakfast Buffet allows you to select from a range of exotic fruits and produce, with fresh farm eggs cooked any style. All day dining menus provide options for those who prefer something light, and for those who prefer a more substantial lunch. Dinner options feature a extensive variety of Sri Lankan and international favourites, whilst our Daily Specials Menu provides guests with the freshest products available and a choice of soup or salad, one of four main dishes and a selection of sinful desserts created by our Pastry Chef. Diners prefering a la carte dining will find a wide selection of asian and international dishes available. Try our specially created Anilana Signature dishes, delectable, delicious and original. We also have a Children's Menu available for our most special guests.
Our Chefs are very proud of the wide selection of traditional Sri Lankan favourites we serve as part of our Breakfast Buffet. Many of their recipes have come from their homes and are truly delicious and typically authentic.

Our Breakfast Buffet is available for you to select your preferences and features international favourites. With freshly cut tropical fruits and fresh squeezed fruit juices, served together with home baked breads and pastries and our unique selection of tropical jams for your enjoyment.
Then try two eggs cooked to order any style and served with delicious sausages or bacon and grilled tomato. A specially brewed pot of delicious Anilana Tea, a creamy Cappuccino or flavourful Italian Espresso will set you up for the day.
If you prefer, an a la carte menu of breakfast favourites is available for you to choose something special, including a heart healthy egg white omelette, Smoked Salmon with poached eggs, or a toasted Turkish Bagel served with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.
Each day our Chef takes great pride in preparing a Daily Specials menu, which is based on the fresh produce he has found available from local markets. Selecting items from our Daily Specials menu is included in the price, for those who have selected a Half Board or Full Board option. The Daily Specials menu consists of a freshly produced appetiser, a home made soup and the choice of one of four main dishes, followed by ice cream or a special Anilana Dessert.
Our kitchen team produce and plate dishes fresh to order, taking great pride as we would for a guest ordering an a la carte item. If you would like an alternative main course to those included on our Daily Specials Menu, please discuss this with our Chef who will try to accommodate your preferences.
The Dining Room All Day Dining Menu is available for those who prefer something different from the Daily Specials Menu. This focuses on comfort food dishes, providing Soups, Salads, Pizzas, Sandwiches and Burgers as well as some grill items to provide a well rounded selection of dining options that appeal to most guests. This menu includes vegetarian options, as well as a number of Anilana’s signature dishes, such as sautéed Crab Cakes, shredded Papaya Salad and grilled Pork Chop served with a spicy pineapple gravy.
Try one of our thin and crispy pizzas with toppings of your creation, or homemade pasta with authentic Italian sauces.
The Dining room Menu features a great number of Asian favourites that will appeal to everyone. Try our home style Sri Lankan Curries or traditional Lamprais cooked in banana leaf, Prawn Broth perfumed with Asian Spices or spicy Deviled Crab Curry to get your tastebuds singing. Stir fried noodles with prawns or a special Seafood fried rice are all delicious and available throughout the day to ensure you enjoy a wholesome, flavourful and memorable meal.
Sometimes children prefer to enjoy something a little different from dishes provided on a restaurant menu. Our chefs have developed a popular, lower priced but tasty menu for our most special guests, the children. Portion sizes are more manageable and we have tried to balance nutrition with fun.
Our sweet tomato soup, cheesy fries, fresh fish fingers, fruit skewer and chocolate sandwich will appeal to most, but in case we want traditional favourites, mini burgers, bite sized hot dogs and pasta galore will make sure the children are well fed and catered for.
For those not ashamed to enjoy a sugar rush to finish their meal or bother to count the calories to closely whilst on holiday, our Pastry Chef has produced a sweet and delicious menu of desserts that would entice even the strongest willed. His signature dish of caramelised bananas is wonderful, especially for the children, but also please try his homemade chocolate brownies or for those who can handle a little alcohol in their desserts, our wickedly flavoured Tirami Su, just like mama made back in Italy…
